Students must remain alert against Fake Agents, warns HEC
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has advised the students to stay aware of fraud people trying to act as the commission's attestation agents.
HEC has advised the students to be wary of con artists acting as commission attestation agents.
These agents have occasionally tricked applicants by adhering fake HEC stamps and tickets on authentic degrees and transcripts issued by their institutions.
It is also mentioned that HEC would seize such degrees and transcripts with fraudulent HEC stamps when submitted to the commission for any purpose, according to the in-charge student affairs division.
To assist students from every part of the country, the HEC has introduced an online Degree Attestation System (DAS) in December 2020. Students can use DAS to submit an online application for the attestation of their academic credentials.
