Sindh's fleet of universities has sunk, the province's Education Minister revealed
The Sindh Provincial Minister of Education Sardar Shah has stated that the university fleet of Sindh has sunk. There are some vice chancellors who have come from other institutions who have never had experience in administration, and they have no idea how financial arrangements work.
Following Pakistan's formation, the first Sindh University was established, which is home to 40,000 students. It pays salaries by borrowing 10 crore rupees from the bank. Great educational institutions like the University of Karachi and Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai have become 'degree machines'.
In an address to the education sector, Mr. Sardar Shah expressed these views at the Sindh College Education Department's award ceremony for excellent performance in colleges.
As a result of their fraudulent degrees, a large number of Sindhi students graduate from universities ready to become employees after taking master's degrees.
During his speech, he said colleges would employ fine arts and music teachers. It was also criticized that Arabic should be taught, but those who have studied the history of Islam are aware of the importance of music to human beings. Artistically gifted students will fill the college's dull walls with color.
To ensure the supply of resources, the provincial education minister advised the principal of each college to write to the director of colleges and the secretary colleges of Sindh. It would be more cost-effective and beneficial for the community to provide facilities for existing colleges rather than build new colleges.
Several districts in Sindh do not even have higher secondary schools, or those that do lack fans, labs, and washrooms, which need to be improved.
