‘Education is the right of every child and should not be withheld even in emergency situations. The Department of Education has established temporary education centers in the flood-affected areas with the support of UNICEF. All IDPs/affected parents are requested to enroll their children in schools established in their nearest shelters.’
The official page for the department shared a video with Mr. Laghari stating that despite the horrible conditions and unfortunate circumstances, children’s education cannot be stopped or withheld from them.
Schools will be set up near these flood shelters and parents/guardians are requested to enroll their children in these schools, ensuring that no child goes without an education.
Yesterday, Mr. Ghulam Akbar Laghari chaired a meeting to discuss the concerns of secondary school teachers.
