Sindh High Court issues notice about 150 government school books being sold as ‘junk’
A petition relating to the dilapidated condition of Ghotki schools led to the disclosure of 150 government books being sold by the Sindh Textbook Board. Justice Salahuddin Paiwar presided over a hearing on a petition regarding the deteriorating condition of schools.
In Deharki, Advocate Abdul Wahab stated that funds have been released for the construction of the college, but not even a single brick has been placed.
According to the court, District and Sessions Judge Ghotki should stop encroachments on the college's land and he should supervise the construction work on the college.
DSR Rangers should provide full force to end the occupation, according to Justice Salahuddin Paiwar. Justice Salahuddin Paiwar was informed during the hearing that 150 Sindh Textbook Board books were being sold as junk in Ghotki.
According to the court, a committee of honest officers should be formed to investigate the sale of 150 books as junk.
Moreover, the court ordered that books for classes 11 and 12 be provided. In addition to summoning the Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board, the court ordered the Chairman of Anti-Corruption to investigate the incident quickly and transparently.
