Inter Board Committee of Chairmen IBCC conducted an online meeting on Monday and agreed to reopen schools on June 01 and hold matric and inter-exams from June 01 to July 15. It is reported that the committee has also agreed to cancel practical exams.
According to IBCC, all boards shall notify the students at least 15 days before the beginning of the exams. However, the committee has agreed to announce a new schedule, if the current situation does not get any better.
Mr. Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training, will announce the decisions in a press conference on May 14. All students are therefore advised to focus on their studies as the exams are expected to take place early. It is also agreed that all examinations should be held and candidates will not be promoted without exams.
Moreover, it is expected that the changing circumstances could impact the schedule in the future. But as of now, the examinations for all classes have been decided. All Board examinations will be completed before July 15.
