Punjab govt. announces scholarships for deserving students

Punjab government has announced 22,000 scholarships for deserving students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Ex-FATA. Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar made this announcement at a press conference.

Addressing the press conference, Governor Punjab said that 1,216 fully funded, and the four-year scholarship scheme will offer 18,346 half-funded scholarships for deserving students. Also, the current Baloch Scholarship for students will remain unchanged.

This is the biggest package in our 72 years history, in which 22,000 students from different provinces will avail full and half scholarships.

Chaudhry Sarwar asked students in his office to contact him if they experience any difficulty. He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding every pledge he made for the program.

The Punjab Governor has visited Balochistan over the past month, consulted Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Punjab Minister of Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz, and Chief Secretary Punjab, and met with the administration and philanthropists of various public/private universities to finalize the scholarship scheme.
