Punjab Adjusts School and College Schedules Due to Extreme Heat
In the midst of the extreme heatwave that has seized the entire country, Punjab's Health Department has issued a warning to guarantee the safety of pupils.
The Health Department has recommended that schools and colleges open and close earlier than usual to protect pupils from the heat, according to the alert.
The Health Department has also requested that sports periods in educational institutions be suspended until the heat wave has passed. It has also requested that pupils be seated in classrooms with enough ventilation.
To ensure that kids stay hydrated throughout the day, the department intends to set up emergency support desks in schools and universities. Students who are impacted by the extreme heat will receive first aid at the help desks.
