Private Schools Allowed to Open Offices
On Thursday, Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh allowed the owners of private schools to open their administration offices during the lockdown since all the educational institutes have been called off. The directorate however issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the private schools’ management for this matter. All the schools who come under DIPRIS will follow these rules. To open administration offices, the schools must have precautionary measurements in order to lie under this category. Entry points must have proper arrangements of masks & hand sanitizers.
The schools are not allowed to start any academic activity or to call any of the teaching staff except for those who are required in the admin office. The offices will remain open just to receive salaries. The management has been informed to keep a safe distance from each other and only skeleton crew must be in place at that time.
No students are allowed to come to the offices, the SOPs read. All the private schools were also directed to give concessions in the tuition fees, so that the parents could easily pay fees. The admin and management are allowed to keep check and balance about the families who are not able to pay their child’s tuition fees during the lockdown.
