Mother of 3 Secures Top Position in Class 10 Exams
Sabrina Khaliq, a mother of three from Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir, won the top position in the Class 10 private board exams.
The media reported Sabrina's score was 467 out of 500 with 93.4%, and she secured A1 grades in Mathematics, Urdu, Science and Social Science.
Sabrina passed her 9th standard in 2012, after which she got married the following year, and was busy with household chores. She said, "I couldn't find time to study, but I took care of my two elder daughters. To understand difficult questions, I used YouTube in the evening after school to study for several hours a day.”
Taking care of three minor children while resuming her studies was no easy task, but she wanted to study further as she believed that the days when women stopped studying after marriage are over.
Sabrina has two daughters and one son, her eldest daughter is 8 years old and studying in class 2.
