Meet Security Guard Turned Lecturer at KU
As the famous proverb "Courage of Men" says, a man who decides to do something will face the obstacles in his way until he reaches his goal. Through "Madhad Khuda", the social media viral story of Karachi University security guard Akhtarnawaz Khattak comes full circle after he completed the journey from matriculation to MPhil.
Akhtar Nawaz Khan, the young man who joined Karachi University as a security guard for employment some time ago, who had no special way of speaking properly but was fond of reading, fulfilled his passion. Along with the security guard job in Karachi University, he also continued his education journey side by side, persevering through obstacles to get to where he wanted.
In Akhtar Nawaz's opinion, when he was admitted to MPhil, he worked at night as he had to attend MPhil classes in the morning for two to two and a half years. His family provided him with support during this time. According to him, the head of the department asked him to teach when he completed his MPhil. Although he claims it felt strange at first, he began teaching with full preparation while also completing his PhD.
In his thesis, Akhtar Nawaz discusses street crimes, their causes and their remedies. A person can achieve anything if they have dedication and desire.
