K-P govt approves land for women university in Swat
The provincial government has sanctioned 300 kanals of land for the construction of a campus for a women’s university, the sub-campus of engineering and agriculture varsities in Swat.
This was disclosed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Housing Minister Dr Amjad Ali on Wednesday. He said that the Board of Revenue and Estate has sanctioned the possession of land for the three varsities. It has also sanctioned possession of land for the construction of an Elementary and Secondary Education Scouts in the Barikot area of Swat.
The minister said the establishment of these institutes in Barikot will promote educational activities in the region. He said that previously, militancy in the region had caused an immense loss to the education sector.
