HEC calls for Applications for Huawei Seeds for the Future Program 2021
With the collaboration of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Huawei Technologies Pakistan has invited applications from eligible Pakistani undergraduate students under the Huawei Seeds for the Future Program 2021.
According to the announcement, Pakistani nationals, including AJK residents less than 24 years of age, are eligible to apply for the 2021 Seeds for the Future Program. The deadline for application is July 27.
The students in the final year of ICT-related undergraduate degrees (four-year programs with 7th and 8th semester) with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4 will be eligible to apply. Moreover, students who have completed their four-year undergraduate ICT-related degrees with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4 since summer 2020 will have a chance to admit to the program.

The required degree for the program is ICT-related degrees such as Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Multimedia & Digital Arts, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Communication Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electronics Engineering, etc.
According to reports, 30 seats have been allocated for Pakistani students considered for the program. The program will be commenced from 9 to August 16 online due to coronavirus-linked travel restrictions.
Launched back in 2008, the Huawei Seeds for the Future Program aims to develop skilled, local ICT talent and bridge communication between countries and cultures.
Since its beginning, 8,774 students from over 500 universities across 130 countries have attained advanced ICT expertise and skills and added value to the global ICT industry.

Huawei involved Pakistan in the Seeds for the Future Program six years ago. Since then, 87 students from different universities from all over Pakistan have been given an opportunity and visited China for training under the Seeds for the Future Program.
