HEC announces Scholarships at Queen Mary University
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 75 scholars to participate in QMUL's Ph.D. program over the next five years.
The signing ceremony was conducted online by the British Council (Pakistan), with Dr. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director (HEC), and Professor Colin Grant, Vice Principal International Education (QMUL), signing the document.

Dr. Shaista spoke at the event, praising the QMUL's support for Pakistani academics and expressing her hope that cooperation between the two organizations would create an ideal environment for human growth.
There is no medium better than education to improve perceptions about each other.
She stated that Pakistani scholars are lucky to study at the QMUL, and she praised the university's administration for providing large fee waivers to HEC-selected scholars.

Since September 2016, the HEC has collaborated with the QMUL to offer high-quality research training to Pakistani Ph.D. scholars, resulting in 35 Pakistani scholars pursuing doctoral programs in different fields.
Similarly, many HEC students are pursuing degrees in a variety of Social Sciences fields to contribute to the country's socio-economic growth.
