Government of Punjab Issued Syllabus of Single National Curriculum 2022
The academic calendar is implemented at all public and private schools in Punjab. It includes all the required subjects at the primary level.
The Government of Pakistan, School Education Department has issued the syllabus of Single National Curriculum for academic calendar 2021-2022.
The coursework is evenly distributed to facilitate students and teachers. It will help teachers to complete the entire course in the given frame of time. It should be noted that the Single National Curriculum was implemented back in August 2021 at all public, private schools, and madras of Punjab.
The Single National Curriculum aims to provide equal and competent education to all students from urban and rural areas. It will enable equal career opportunities for every student as well.
According to the Single National Curriculum issued by the Government of Pakistan, the session at the primary level will commence from the months of August to April.
The course work is evenly distributed among all the months in a span of 23-34 periods per month in a school.
The subjects included in Early Childhood Care and Education are:
- English
- Urdu
- Mathematics
It consists of basics and its revision and assessments. The session includes a December test session and a winter break session.
The academic calendar for primary level grades, 1 to 5 according to Single National Curriculum commences from August to May.
The schedule includes the extensive course work evenly distributed in 23-24 periods per month of the calendar till April in a school. The subjects for Grade 1 to 3 include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Urdu
- Islamiyat
- General Knowledge
The subjects for Grade 4 and Grade 5 are:
- English
- Urdu
- Mathematics
- Islamiyat
- Social Studies
- Science
The session will end in May with the final examinations of students throughout the schools. After which the schools will observe a two-month of summer vacation. The session also contains winter vacations in December.
