Gilgit Baltistan announces a surplus of teaching jobs within six months
In an effort to keep the province's public schools staffed, the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) administration announced on Wednesday that it would recruit 4,000 teachers over six months.
In order to ensure girls and boys had equal educational opportunities, the Education Reforms Steering Committee implemented education reforms. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid.
The GB Education Minister Raja Muhammad Azam Khan has stated that schools in the province that have been affected by natural disasters will be rebuilt in priority.
As part of the minister's remarks, he noted that the department of education is putting an extra emphasis on completing existing development projects by the end of June.
In addition to visiting schools, he interacted with school authorities and instructors, after which he pledged to prioritize teachers' issues and come up with solutions.
The committee also voted to rescind all affiliations, meaning that teachers working in other departments should return to their positions as soon as possible.
