Get vaccinated within a week or face “consequences”, Sindh notifies teachers
The Sindh Government has announced on Tuesday that the teachers and staff in educational institutes across the province must get vaccinated within a week.
The teachers can register for vaccination by sending their National Identity Card number visa SMS to 1166.

According to reports, the Sindh Education Department has stated that the staff or teachers who will not comply with the orders and fail to get vaccinated before schools reopen will face “dire consequences”.
According to notification by the Sindh School Education Department, any employee who fails to get vaccinated before the reopening of schools will have to face “dire consequences”.
The department has further notified that all teachers will be required to submit their vaccination cards to the head of their institutes after getting inoculated.

On Tuesday, the government announced to establish over 180 Covid-19 vaccination centers in schools and colleges in every district of Sindh. The plan is to vaccinate 100,000 teachers.
It is pertinent to note that educational institutes across the province will remain closed until the coronavirus infection rate falls.

Last week, in a meeting of the coronavirus task force, Sindh Health Minister Azra Pechuho said that the government will soon start home vaccination for senior citizens and people with disabilities. Mobile vaccination will also start in the province soon, especially for villages and small districts
