Among different universities across Pakistan, Government College University Faisalabad was ranked second among the 600 top universities in the world. Additionally, GCU Faisalabad has also set a record for being the first young university to receive this distinction.
According to Times Higher Education's ranking of the world's top universities, Government College University Faisalabad has achieved a prominent position. It was included in the top 600 universities in the world in 2022. GCUF is ranked second among leading universities in Pakistan, as well as the best among all higher education institutes in Punjab. This is a remarkable achievement for the Government College University and Faisalabad city administrations.
Among the 600 top universities in the world, the University of Illinois achieved the top ranking of 16.8 in teaching parameters, 13.1 in research, 99.9 in referencing, 39.5 in industrial funding, and 45.4 in international outlook, enabling it to earn the honor of 600 top universities in the world.
After being registered as a university in 2003, Government College Faisalabad officially became 'Government College University'. At the same time, being the youngest university in the nation, GCU has established a distinctive identity in higher education and research. As a result, it is now among the top 600 universities worldwide.
