The management of Karachi University set a selection board for teacher promotions in the Departments of Food and Science and Environmental Studies on January 30. The board was forced to adjourn, and Karachi University teachers have boycotted the teaching process as a result.

Teachers believe that neither the previous secretary nor the current secretary has ever requested permission from the University of Karachi for the selection board.
