Fake News Goes Viral at NUML & Islamia University
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) has termed a notification that went viral on social media regarding students as fake.
According to Express News, a fake notification regarding NUML University has gone viral on social media, in which the university administration has said that female students cannot refer to a male student as ‘brother’, he should be addressed by his name. It has been done to avoid ‘hurting feelings’.
In response to this, the statement of the university administration has come out. The spokesperson of the university has said that the notification which went viral on social media is fake which was made viral by the students themselves.
On the other hand, a similar notification from Bahawalpur's Islamia University went viral on social media, in which it was said that no girl in the university will call a boy brother, but will be called by his name.
The university administration claimed that the supposed notion was created by students and spread around the camps by them as well. Soon the students involved in this will be identified and disciplinary action will be taken against them.
