Fake doctor arrested in Turkey after practicing for a year
Turkish police have arrested a 20-year-old girl who worked as a doctor in a hospital without studying medicine. He took the medical exam after high school because his family wanted him to become a doctor.
Instead of admitting her failure, Ayşe told her parents that she had gotten into a medical university and was becoming a doctor.
In order to conceal her identity, the girl forged exam scores and enrollment papers. Besides lying to her parents, Ayşe lived in a hostel in Istanbul and claimed to be a medical student. With a fake student ID, she attended a medical university and started dating medical students.
Later, Özkiraz managed to find a job at a hospital.
Doctors became suspicious of the girl when she refused to answer or gave incorrect answers to basic medical questions. As soon as the doctors became convinced that Ayşe was lying about her training, they called the police.
Police found fake ID cards, forged documents, and medical uniforms from several Turkish hospitals when they searched the girl's apartment.
After her arrest, Ayşe Özkiraz confessed to being a fake doctor for a year.
