Exams to start for Classes Prep to 8 Across Pakistan
An inter-provincial education ministers meeting has announced examination dates for classes Prep to 8, consenting schools to conduct online classes in the wake of third wave of COVID-19.
A notification was issued on Tuesday, which advised that the schools would remain closed till April 28, and online will begin later.

According to the notification, the exams for classes five and eight will begin from May 18, while the exams for classes one to four, six and seven will begin from June 1.
Moreover, the academic session for the grades 9 to 12 will resume begin from April 19. The exam schedule for the classes 9 to 12 will soon be announced by the federal directorate keeping in view the current coronavirus surge in the country.

The notification stated that the children would attend the schools after the reopening under strict COVID-19 standard operating procedures. All required health guidelines will be implemented in the schools transport, while the officers of the related regions will inspect the compliance and take strict action against those who violate.
The federal minister for education Shafqat Mahmood had announced the closure of schools in the affected cities till April 28. The coronavirus situation will be reviewed again on April 28 in order to decide whether to keep the schools closed until Eid.
