Decision on school closure today
The Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood will preside a meeting today to take a decision on school closure across the country as the COVID-19 cases are on the rise rapidly.

The 27% surge in the cases on November 13 alone — educational ministers will once again sit down on Monday, November 16, to decide if Pakistan's schools have to be shut down again to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting will also discuss the leeway of announcing winter vacations early this year and extending the winter vacation to keep children protected from the possible second wave.
