Covid-19: ‘Closure of schools needed’
The Parliamentary Secretary for Information Bushra Rind on Wednesday said that repeated interruptions in children's academic year are a matter of concern but decisions such as temporary closure of schools are needed to prevent the rapid spread of coronavirus.
"In this regard, we need the support of the public and teachers and private educational institutions. We must work together to ensure a better future for our children and to prevent this deadly disease,” she said, adding that the decisions made by the government will be strictly implemented in all cases and no one will be lenient.

"We must understand that by not implementing these decisions, we will spread this insidious disease around us," Rind further said.
The parliamentary secretary maintained that the development of nations is undoubtedly linked to the attainment of quality education and access to modern technology but human life and health is always the first priority.

"The provincial government is an elected democratic government. The people should also take this global epidemic seriously and strictly implement the SOPs and cooperate with the government in this regard.”
Earlier on April 20, the leaders of All Balochistan Progressive Private Schools Association had rejected the government’s decision to close educational institutions.
