Change in final exam schedule in Punjab announced for classes 1 to 8
Under the newly established Single National Curriculum (SNC) the final examinations for classes 1 to 8 will begin on May 9 this year in all schools in Punjab.
The examination procedure will end on May 20 and the final results will be announced on May 31, according to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department (SED) and the new academic year will begin on August 1.

Students in grades 3 through 8 will take tests that include both objective and subject sections, while students in grades 1 and 2 will be evaluated through oral exams.
All children in grades 3 to 8 will take written exams in Urdu, English, Mathematics, General Science, and Social Sciences, while Muslim kids will be assessed in Islamiat and non-Muslims will be required to take an Ethics exam.
