Candidates compelled to take CSS exams in scorching heat without electricity

As the country suffers from a terrible heatwave, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) began taking the Central Superior Services (CSS) test 2022 on Thursday.

Despite collecting millions of rupees in admission fees from candidates, the FPSC has failed miserably to assure an uninterrupted supply of electricity to examination centres around the country.

Many applicants passed out during the first paper on the first day of exams due to exhaustion from the oppressive heat. They stayed in the hospital for the remainder of the day, missing the second paper of the day. Their chances of passing the CSS tests have already faded because they failed the second paper due to being absent.

Candidates have expressed regret for spending years studying for the CSS tests. Unfortunately, FPSC's ineptness has severely affected their years of effort.

Candidates have chastised the FPSC for failing to bring electrical supply firms on board to ensure continuous power before the start of the CSS 2022 tests.

Several CSP officers have also turned to Twitter to draw attention to the predicament of CSS 2022 exam aspirants. According to Rai Hamza Ahmed of the 49th Common Training Program (CTP), FPSC is responsible for providing all facilities to candidates. Zubaria Zahoor of the 50th CTP expressed concern with the current state of affairs at the FPSC.

On Thursday, it reached 48°C in Hyderabad, according to Syed Fazil Bukhari of the 46th CTP, and applicants were forced to wait in exam centres without power. He went on to say that a lack of facilities combined with extreme weather conditions has affected candidates' performance.
