PTCL aims to educate Pakistan
According to a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) have signed an agreement for the provision of 4 educational over-the-top (OTT) channels.
In addition, the channels will provide students of different ages with access to quality educational content.
MoFEPT minister Rana Tanveer Hussain and other officials signed the pact in Islamabad.
Through this agreement, PTCL will provide MOFEPT with 4 channels on its OTT Smart TV platform for live streaming and downloading of educational content. There will be no charge for the digital channels across the country.
This initiative aims to improve learning efficiency and efficiency of the education system through digitalisation, according to MoFEPT.
