Traffic Warden from Lahore Obtains LLM Degree
Imran Faraz, a young traffic warden in Lahore, received his LLM degree from a private university. Dr. Asad Malhi, the CTO of Lahore, congratulated Imran Faraz on this achievement and promised his full support to the Wardens in the field of education.
According to Dr. Asad Malhi, it is essential for wardens to continue their education while also performing their duties. There are 140 wardens out of 2400 with an MPhil degree, two have a doctorate degree, and 80 percent have master's degrees.
As far as educational qualifications are concerned, the city traffic police have an edge over all other forces.
Traffic wardens hold degrees in forensic science, molecular biology and english literature; while many officers hold master's degrees in law, economics, mathematics, criminology and international relations.
The CTO of Lahore has announced that wardens with MPhil degrees will receive an allowance of Rs. 10,000.
