Punjab government has announced to hire 15,000 teachers in the education department
Dr. Murad Raas, the Punjab Minister for School Education, speaking at a news conference in Lahore on Thursday announced that the education department will hire 15,000 teachers as there is a shortfall of 50,000 instructors in Punjab schools, and that they will hire 15,000 in the first phase to fill the gap. In addition, the minister said that the education department would also implement a paperless system.
"At the Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU), we've constructed an in-house data centre, bringing 11 departments under one roof," he stated.

The data centre, according to Raas, will increase openness and make it easier to make decisions. He went on to say that the education department had scanned over 12 million documents so far.
"We've already put the procedure of transfers and retirement online," he said.
Previously, the department has reported billions of rupees in corruption; however, the digitization of the records will remove corruption.
