Hundreds of teachers appointed in Sindh after a decade

After passing recruitment interviews and written tests in 2012, the Sindh Cabinet approved the appointment of hundreds of teachers.

Murad Ali Shah, the Sindh chief minister, chaired a provincial cabinet meeting in Karachi to decide on teacher appointments.

About 193 teachers who had received interview, offer, and medical letters back in 2012 were approved for appointment during the meeting.

Additionally, it approved the appointment of 104 teachers from 2012 whose medical tests had been completed four weeks earlier.

Also, in March, the Cabinet regularized Junior Elementary School Teachers (JEST) and Early Career Teachers (ECT) recruited by Sukkur IBA Testing Service (STS).

The Sindh government has also begun issuing appointment letters to thousands of newly recruited teachers in public sector educational institutions across the province to address staff shortages.

According to Sindh Education Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh is the only province to have appointed around 50,000 individuals in a single recruitment drive.
