EdTech startup MyCaptain secured $3 million in pre-series funding round
MyCaptain is a Bangalore based edtech startup founded by Mohammed Zeeshan, Sameer Ramesh, and Ruhan Naqash. They created a platform where students can learn directly from young professionals, find new career alternatives, and gain practical skills. From over 30+ Basic to Advanced Live Cohort based courses are offered. Content writing, social media management, fashion design, entrepreneurship, and even advertising are among the courses available.
The startup has raised $3 million in pre-Series-A funding led by Ankur Capital. IPV (Inflection Point Ventures), Firstport Ventures, IIM Calcutta Angels Network, Singapore Angel Investors, and other Super Angels also participated in the round.
CEO and Co-Founder, Mohammad Zeeshan stated, "MyCaptain is one of India's most popular online course platforms in these sectors. We'll utilize the capital to expand our course offerings, get more users, raise our revenue, and expand our workforce, which will include recruiting new people to help us achieve our goals. We're thrilled to be partnering with Ankur Capital and other investors who have expressed strong faith in our vision and team. We intend to create a societal shift toward new-age occupations by working together to develop future entrepreneurs, designers, creators, authors, technologists, and more for India."
"MyCaptain is working in a space that was waiting to be discovered," Mitesh Shah, Co-Founder of Inflection Point Ventures, stated. It helps learners beyond the academic education system, assisting them in instilling practical and industrial knowledge, which is ultimately what makes them marketable once they enter the workforce. IPV is thrilled to support MyCaptain on its educational technology journey."
As the industry leader in the market, MyCaptain has trained, mentored, and facilitated monetizable outcomes for over 150,000+ paid learners from Bangalore to Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.
