Tevta and Cheetay to Provide 50,000 jobs

Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) and Cheetay have partnered up to provide work opportunities and entrepreneurship sessions for Tevta students.

Chairman Ali Salman Siddique and Cheetay COO Mohsin Qureshi signed an MOU to that effect on behalf of their respective organizations during a simple ceremony at the Tevta Secretariat.

While addressing the participants, Ali Salman highlighted that providing Tevta trained students with quality education and economic opportunities is the pillar of the new Tevta vision. The agreement with Cheetay is a step forward and was a realistic expression of this strategy towards the implementation of this policy. Ali said that Tevta aims to introduce soft skills and spoken English classes for its students across the province, which will undoubtedly contribute to the overall grooming and value of our students.

COO Mohsin Qureshi said that Cheetay, with its presence in all Pakistan's major cities, cheetay is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce platforms. He said that we strongly believe in empowering youth and building work opportunities for Pakistani youth. A reflection of this strategy was the MOU with Tevta. Over the next five years, he said, we aim to create 50,000 jobs for young people.

Under the agreement, Cheetay will provide Tevta trained students with priority opportunities, hold awareness sessions for Tevta students, and cooking trade graduates to open home food stores through the Cheetay website, and provide Tevta students with entrepreneurship sessions.
