Summer schedule of Islamabad & Rawalpindi disrupted
Exams being postponed owing to the current unrest in law and order could cause the summer break timetable in twin cities’ schools to be pushed back.
The matric exams scheduled for May 25 and 26 have been postponed by the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).
The exams that were postponed have been rescheduled and will now be taken once the normal exams are completed. As a result of the rescheduling, the practical tests will begin after the postponed exams have been completed.
As a result, students have expressed concern that the extended written exams and later commencement of practical exams may cut their summer vacation short.
The FBISE has announced a revised schedule for the postponed matric exams in Islamabad, however the RBISE has yet to make a statement.
According to FBISE, the postponed exams will be retaken on June 8 and 9, with practical exams beginning on June 10.
