Sindh struggles with grants to conduct matric and intermediate exams
KARACHI: The chairmen of Sindh's education boards have issued a letter to the government expressing concern about a lack of funds that could affect how the matric and intermediate exams are conducted this year.
The Sindh government has to provide more than Rs3 billion to the education boards, the letter said.

The chairmen bemoaned the reality that the Sindh government is not paying funds, causing employee salaries to be delayed.
According to the letter, it would be challenging to perform exams if the grant is not granted right away.
Meanwhile, the Sukkur board's chairman warned that if the grant is not issued, the boards "would have to perform examinations by begging."

The head of the Hyderabad board said that the teachers are unwilling to work with the board due to non-payment of salaries.
After several attempts to contact the government, the board heads claim they have not received a response.
