Sindh: First Year Admissions will be based on 9th Grade Results
According to Express News, for the first time in the province, the Sindh Education Department has approved the admission of first year students on the basis of ninth grade results.
Provincial Education Minister, Sardar Shah, has approved admissions in government colleges for the first year in class XI on the basis of the results of the ninth class.
The move is aimed at saving students several important months of the precious academic year.
According to a statement issued by the education department, it was suggested to the provincial education minister that due to the delay in the results of class X, the students could not get admission in class XI on time due to which students were admitted in private colleges. Yes and a large number of students turn to coaching centers. Later students do not take classes in government colleges despite admission.
In this regard, Director General for Colleges in Sindh, Dr. Muhammad Ali Manjhi, called on Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah. Director General Colleges Sindh also briefed the Provincial Minister for Education in this regard and requested that these crucial four months will be saved from being wasted.
Dr. Manjhi thanked the Sindh Education Minister and Secretary College Education for accepting the long standing demand for the admission of students. Dr. Manjhi stated that educational activities would start in colleges across Sindh from August 1st.
