Schools warned against breaching NCOC orders

Mansehra: The district administration has issued a strong warning to private educational institution owners that if they do not obey government orders about the closure of schools and colleges, they will face severe legal consequences.

“The district administration has found that some schools are operating the middle and primary sections as normal in violation of the national command and operation center's orders, which will result in severe action,” Assistant Commissioner Jawad Sadar Marwat told a meeting of school and college stakeholders arranged by the Private Education Network (Pen).

According to the official report, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Qasim Ali Khan had taken special note of the reopening of the primary and middle parts of private schools because the number of novel coronavirus cases in the district had been continually rising.

“We will not only close those schools that have been breaching the orders of the national command and operation center, but we will also charge them if the middle and primary sections continue to operate,” Marwat warned.

The president of the Private Education Network (Pen), Professor Mohammad Pervez, stated that his organization would provide all necessary resources and assistance in accordance with the NCOC's standard operating procedures for containing the spread of the Covid-19.
