School girl invents backpack that provides clean air
A 12-year-old British girl has created a backpack that not only cleans and exhausts the air around its wearer, but also keeps the environment fresh. Solar power is used to power this backpack.
The design was created by Eleanor Woods for an engineering competition. However, it was inspired by her mother, who suffers from asthma and is affected by even the smallest amount of pollution.
This bag also has an air filter, fans, and a generator.
This invention can benefit millions of people around the world, particularly children and the elderly who suffer from respiratory diseases.
According to Eleanor, this bag will help filter stale air, as some of her friends and family suffer from asthma and breathing problems. She expressed joy at receiving the award. The name of this competition is 'Bag Pack to the Future Competition'.
In this competition, students up to 13 years of age have to design a bag related to a scientific concept or invention.
Each year, hundreds of children participate in this competition across the UK.
