Scholarships offered to minority students in Punjab
Non-Muslim students studying in Punjab will be eligible to apply for a scholarship program sponsored by the government.
As a prerequisite, applicants must have a Punjab domicile, belong to a minority community such as Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, or other, and be enrolled in matriculation to Ph.D. level programs.
Scholarships will provide regular students with the opportunity to pursue their academic goals while contributing positively to society at the same time. Applicants have until May 12th, 2023 to submit their applications.
Students who are accepted for MBBS, DVM, BDS, BSc (English), BSc (Nursing), Pharm-D, or Ph.D. programs will receive an annual scholarship of Rs. 50,000.
Postgraduate students enrolled in MA, MSc, M.Com, MCS/MBA, M Phil, LLM, or equivalent programs will receive Rs. 35,000 per year. As for undergraduate students, they will receive Rs. 30,000 per year.

A Grade 17 officer or higher must attest copies of the applicant's domicile, passport photo, Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and father/guardian, and educational certificates. Scholarship advertisements in multiple newspapers can also be photocopied.
Moreover, the heads of the educational institutions where the applicants are enrolled have been instructed to verify their guardians'/parents' documents. A certificate of attestation should be obtained from their respective religious institution's head.
All eligible non-Muslim students studying in government institutions in Punjab are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
