Reopening of Schools: Education ministers to discuss Covid situation today
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said on Wednesday said that all education ministers would meet today (Thursday) at the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) to discuss the coronavirus condition in the country and school opening methods.

According to the education minister, there has been an increase in coronavirus cases across Pakistan, but the situation is not as bad as it was in November and December.
“The number of cases has increased within a week,” he added.
The conference, which all of the provincial education ministers will attend, will determine the next steps.

Last month, the federal minister declared that beginning March 1, all educational institutes would resume daily 5-day classes.
He mentioned that the notification applies to all educational institutions in the cities where restrictions have been imposed.
