The Punjab University Registration Branch has announced the schedule for submitting registration forms for MA/MSc annual examinations in 2023. BA & BSc exam candidates must have passed their exams in 2022 or earlier to be eligible for registration. January 31st, 2023 is the last day to apply for online registration.
Punjab University does not require applicants who have already registered to apply again. It is acceptable to use their previous registration number.
A duplicate registration card can be obtained by depositing PKR 100/- in HBL if a student's registration card is lost.
Eligibility for PU MA MSC Private Registration 2023
The candidate must have passed the BA BSc examination by 2022 or earlier. The registration form does not need to be submitted again by students who are already registered with PU.
PU Private MA/MSc Examination Subjects
Private candidates are allowed to sit for MA/MSc examinations in the following subjects:
- Urdu
- English
- Islamic Studies
- Punjabi
- Political Science
- History
- Mathematics
- Arabic
- Philosophy
- Persian
- Economics
- French
- Kashmiriyat
How to register as a private candidate for PU MA MSc 2023

The registration form can only be submitted online at http://registration.pu.edu.pk Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling out the form.

To complete the registration, you can save the data anytime and log in again with your CNIC number.
- The printout of the online registration form must be submitted with the required documents, such as a copy of the CNIC or B-form, NOC, Equivalence (if applicable), and challan form within the due date.
Terms & Conditions
- Candidates who are already registered with PU (regular or private) do not need to re-register
- When your registration card is lost, you can obtain a duplicate by paying Rs. 100 to HBL Bank on a challan
- Candidates who have left the college and now wish to reapply as private students can use their previous registration numbers by paying Rs. 100 to HBL for a duplicate registration card.
- A diploma or any other "A" level degree holder must bring an IBCC equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC Islamabad or a NOC letter from the relevant institution
