PEEF Announces PhD Merit Scholarships for Foreigners 2023

A Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Program has been launched by the Punjab Education Endowment Fund for the year 2023. Chief Minister Merit Scholarships are awarded every year to top Pakistani students who meet the eligibility criteria for fully funded PhD scholarships. Specifically, this is to study at a university abroad. Students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree at a foreign university will benefit greatly from the program.

Over 440,000 scholarships were awarded by the Punjab Education Endowment Fund previously. April 14th, 2023 is the deadline for CMMS applications for 2023-24.

Requirements

The student must have an admission offer from a top 50 institute in the subject of choice as per QS rankings
The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 60%
Family income must be less or equal to 200,000/- in order to be eligible to apply
For the PhD fully funded scholarship program, the maximum age is 35
There must be no prior experience with international scholarships
Applications are open to all Pakistani students, male and female. Scholarships for PhD study are not available to teaching faculty in public sector institutions of Pakistan
Finally, you must apply for the scholarship during the year in which it is offered

Selected Scholarship Seats:

The Punjab Chief Minister Merit Scholarship is awarded to students from the province. Students from other parts of Pakistan are awarded 10% of the scholarships.

Scholarships are reserved for 80% of science students and 20% for arts students.
