Notices Issued to DC West & KMC over Encroachment of School Land

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued notices to DC West and KMC on a petition related to the occupation of German School land in Orangi Town area of Karachi.

Yesterday, the high court heard the application related to the seizure of the land of the German School Play Ground, Orangi Town, the petitioner's lawyer said that despite the injunction, the 'qabza mafia' has started construction, thousands of square yards of land of three schools are being occupied. A two-member bench of the Sindh High Court had issued an injunction, but the mafia prepared walls and started construction.

The court has issued notices to DC West and KMC calling the matter as an important issue, the court has asked the parties to respond by August 11th and has also ordered to submit a detailed report along with the master plan at the next hearing.
