NCOC proposes: Educational institutions to open three days a week

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has advised that educational institutes be open three days a week in response to the growing COVID-19 Omicron outbreaks across the country.

The NCOC had its second significant meeting, during which the position of educational institutions was also assessed, and different ideas for increased restrictions were considered.

In addition, a suggestion to make schools in Islamabad available online for seven days was discussed at the meeting.

The NCOC conference was briefed on current testing in educational institutions, according to sources. It was decided to close educational institutions that did not follow the SOPs, with a focus on steps to ensure that students and teachers in educational institutions were vaccinated.
