NCOC Declares Decision on Restrictions in Schools
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) had a meeting earlier today, with Asad Umar, the Federal Planning Minister, in charge. The group examined the country's overall Coronavirus situation and expressed serious concerns.
The NCOC has decided to extend the limitations on the educational sector in order to contain the virus's spread. These limits will now be in place until February 15, 2022, and will be reviewed before that date.
Here are the restrictions for the education sector in different cities and districts:
The NCOC had initially imposed these limits on January 19th, which went into force on January 20th, 2022 and will last until January 31st, 2022.
In addition, beginning February 1, 2022, the NCOC will begin an obligatory COVID-19 vaccination campaign for students aged 12 and up. Educational institutes are already undergoing aggressive sentinel testing in preparation for targeted closures in areas with high disease rates.
