On Thursday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed six similar petitions challenging MDCAT and the Pakistan Medical Commission's (PMC) examination regulations.

After hearing the petitions filed by the pupils, a single bench led by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb dismissed them.

The petitioners' counsel stated that new examination regulations put students' futures in jeopardy. If the online examination system is hijacked, he stated who will be held accountable.

According to the counsel, a double charge was collected from students as a result of a joint venture with a private corporation, and the test results were delivered to students through e-mail, but the PMC then removed it, citing a technical malfunction. He asked the court to impose an order because medical colleges had begun accepting applications.

He went on to say that students who studied in another country will be regarded foreign degree holders.

He went on to say that this rule applied to MDCAT, PMDC, BDS, and MBBS as well.

The counsel for the PMC stated that preparations for foreign Pakistanis would be made soon in Pakistan embassies throughout the world.
