Lahore High Court Reinstates PMDC Admission Policy 2019
As part of its restoration of the PMDC 2019 admission policy, the Lahore High Court ordered the admission of dual nationals to medical colleges on the basis of open merit. A two-member bench headed by Justice Ayesha A. Malik annulled the previous decision of the single bench during the hearing of PMDC's admission policy case in the Lahore High Court.
In the 9-page written decision of the Lahore High Court, it is stated that the PMDC reserves the right to make amendments to its policy, not to admit medical students with dual citizenship under the quota. New admissions to medical colleges will be governed by the 2019 policy, as per DC's decision.
The Lahore High Court has challenged PMDC's new policy on dual citizenship by medical students. However, PMDC filed an intra-court appeal against the single bench ruling.
