Eyewitness Identifies Accused in KU Suicide Attack Case
According to Express News, significant progress has been made in the Karachi University suicide bombing case.
CTD has claimed that the identity of accused was paraded in front of Judicial Magistrate in the case of the suicide attack on Chinese nationals at Karachi University. Injured in the attack, an eyewitness of the incident identified the accused. During the identification period, 10 individuals were selected at random to be presented along with the accused.
An eyewitness, while identifying the accused, said that the accused had come to Karachi University before the attack. According to the investigating officer, the accused had also sized-up the van carrying Chinese teachers before the suicide attack. According to CTD, a house was searched in Gulshan-e-Iqbal after proper identification of the perpetrator.
During the search, crucial evidence was found and seized, including 2 hand grenades, a remote control and circuit, which were also registered. The lawsuit also includes provisions for explosives and detonators.
