Exam Superintendent caught taking Bribe
The Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi apprehended the Exam Superintendent of Government (Christian) Higher Secondary School Raja Bazar on Tuesday in a major operation for receiving a bribe of thousands of rupees from a student.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi began supplemental intermediate exams for elective subjects on November 27.
A special team of the Anti-Corruption Department conducted a trap operation and detained SST Ishtiaq, who was employed as the Senior Superintendent of Exams at the abovementioned test centre, according to DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees. A video was also produced of the incident, in which the accused is seen receiving the money.
"The Circle Officer Rawalpindi, Zulfiqar Bazid, led by Magistrate Talat Waheed, conducted a productive trap raid and managed to recover marked currency of Rs. 25,000 from the accused on the spot," the DG Anti-Corruption said, adding that the plaintiff had paid the accused a total bribe of Rs. 65,000 for increasing his numbers.

He stated that the plaintiff, Danish Raza, is a Class XII student and a candidate at the test centre in question.
