Chinese E-Commerce & Technology Courses to be taught in Karachi
With the cooperation of China, two government educational institutions of Karachi have started implementing various courses, including e-commerce, to develop entrepreneurship skills and efficiency among the youth.
According to Express News, in these online courses, for the first time in the history of the country, Chinese teachers and business experts will teach young adults how to enter the business world of China, how to sell Chinese products worldwide and open new doors for Pakistani products. This initiative is intended to brush up both knowledge and practical skills for youngsters, giving them different business opportunities on a global scale.
Chairman of the Sindh Technical Board, Dr. Masroor Sheikh, gave details to Express News in this regard, stating that the Technical Board and Dawood Engineering University are both conducting these courses with the help of China's Hunan Chemical and Vocational Technical College. It is important to note that classes have started at Dawood University from 19th July, comprising of 3 courses over 3 months, and each course having 32 hours of online and 32 hours of physical classes.
In this first of its kind initiative, students are being taught the Chinese language as well as how to enter the business world of China, allowing them to move there and eventually enter the business world.
With China's collaborative e-commerce, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has launched an online program for business entrepreneurship. He added that the need of Chinese companies is increasing day by day to employ more and more IT trained, English speaking people.
The network is the backbone of Chinese e-commerce and online sales in 152 countries in the BRI. The Sindh Board of Technical Education and Dawood University of Engineering and Technology have established cooperation between Pakistan and China educational institutions in order to significantly reduce the unemployment rate, while opening avenues for young people to pursue their studies and respective career path abroad.
Currently, 45 students are taking training courses in one batch. The ideal target is to provide 10,000 admissions. Recently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on the Model Sino-Peak Dual Diploma Vocational and Technical Joint Educational Program.
This initiative aims to strengthen relations between the two countries and help Pakistanis pursue business opportunities in China.
