Balochistan Announces 5 day holiday for Public and Private Institutions

Balochistan's government has decided to close all private and public educational institutions during the current week.

Balochistan's School Education Department (SED) has announced that all public and private schools will be on holiday from 22nd August, Monday, to 26th August, Friday.

Schools will reopen on Saturday, 27th August. In the province, torrential monsoon rainfall has caused heavy floods causing this decision.

The monsoon rains of this year have devastated parts of the country, especially Balochistan, killing hundreds of people, killing thousands of cattle, and damaging infrastructure worth billions of rupees.

Earlier this month, the Education Department in Balochistan announced extending summer vacations for schools and colleges in summer zones.

On 15th August, all public and private educational institutions in the summer zone reopened after extended summer vacations.

Public and private schools in Balochistan will be on vacation from the 22nd to the 26th of August, according to the School Education Department (SED).
