41 PhDs graduate from the First Cohort of NFD program
While the Higher Education Commission (HEC) continues its online activities to prevent COVID-19 spread, 41 Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) Fellows graduated from the four-week online training course under National Faculty Development Program (NFDP) organized by HEC.
The NFDP course was conducted online through Microsoft Teams. s. The course's objective was to equip the new fellows with professional and practical skills to perform better as an academic. The curriculum included methods of online teaching, research management, and professional application.
The program funds by HEC and aims to employ fresh PhDs, and support universities in attracting qualified faculty.
The program was conducted by a team of national and international experts. It is designed following the highest digital standards established by HEC in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The first Cohort of the course concluded on Wednesday, and the remaining will be conducted between now and August 2020. There will be 12 Cohorts for the course, and each will have 40 participants.
Chairman HEC Tariq Banori congratulated the graduating IPFP Fellows in his keynote speech. He also appreciated the organizers and instructors for their dedication and the success they achieved in these pressing times.
This program was NAHE's first intensive program, which had to be delivered online and during Ramazan.
